Does anyone know what pickups these are in SRV's white strat. They sound like the others he used but they look different.

I think they are lipstick pups but I am not sure if they are Seymour Duncan Lipstick Pickups. Anyway below are what the SD lipsticks are all about.

application
Lipstick tube pickup for Strat® guitars. Recommended for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues and classic rock.

description
Like the '50s originals, our lipsticks use Alnico 6 magnets and a special winding spec to bring out the jangle in your Strat®. This pickup will produce a bright and jangly tone; plus the look is totally unique for a visually striking instrument.

complete setup
Calibrated set includes a higher-output custom bridge pickup, RW/RP middle and regular neck pickup.

guitars
For warmer toned ash, alder or basswood body instruments including hollow and semi-hollow bodies. Works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.

available mods
Hotter custom bridge version for better output balance. Reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) middle pickups for hum-canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch.

Yeahp I reckon your right, I recall someone saying before that they were. Also that I think Stevie had most of his pups wound hotter.

Hey does the bridge on that strat look like a hardtail.
