If someone could help or recommend me to a playback device that would play nicely with a HSS Strato, seen devices with two pedals but is this the real best bang for your buck? Any advice would be appreciated greatly.

Hi pwojc612: am I understanding you right - are you wanting a "looper"?

If so, there are many, many options. I'll just give Boss as an example, though there are many manufacturers to look at.

Most affordable is their RC-2 Loop Station. You can get a long way down the road with this small box:

A much bigger Loop Station is the RC-20KL, which I'm guessing is the "two pedal" unit you were thinking of. This will do everything most of us will ever need:

And if that still isn't feature-packed enough for you then the top of the mountain is the RC-50. This does everything:

Something to remember is that loopers also come in other types of units. For example, I have Boss's DD-20 Giga Delay which not only covers ALL my delay needs and then some, it also contains a simple looper as well, with up to 23 seconds of record time and basic overdub type facilites. More than good enough for my simple needs, though others would want more features:

And the last thing to consider is that these days multi-effects units frequently contain loopers too. Boss's GT-10 has one:

So there are many routes to go with this. Personally, I'd start small with that RC-2 pedal and buy something bigger later - if there was a good reason. Then at least you'd know why you were after those extra (and sometimes unnecessary) features.

...And now you are going to tell me it wasn't a looper you were thinking of at all, I expect!

Good luck - C
