I have had my strat stolen from a management office in ny city
it was heavily autographed by bands such as motley crue . 3 doors down and many many others , what might set it apart other then those bands Every member of Silvertide also signed the guitar Walt Lafty & Nick Perry may stand out ..
This guitar traveled with silvertide for quite some time and was then left at a management office ..
Other then it's potential value it was intended it be left to my 7 year old daughter by me ..
If anyone could help locate this guitar it would be greatly appreciated

An offer has been made to start over again with new guitar but mine was a 2003 release same year my daughter was born and carries sentimental value .. and I may not have that much time to wait to have another one filled front and back with signitures.

Thanks for reading this post
if you can help that would be great

Rick

ps the guitar looks like this one

Sorry to hear this...I had one of my my strats ripped off too before. It is the worst feeling.I HATE THIEVES :x .I would put word out quick like and keep your eyes peeled on Craigs list,E-Bay, local pawn shops and guitar shops. With all those signatures...the dude would have to be an idiot to try and sell it without getting questioned.
Best of luck .....Did I say I HATE THIEVES... :x
Nice axe by the way...I feel your pain

been searching ebay and C/L and your right all those sigs will raise eyebrows
how many can be proven legit ? the only people I know that can vouch for it are Looking for it as well.
It was more for my daughter then for me and that's what hurts the most
I can no longer play guitar but she is just starting to learn
and I really wanted her to have a piece of history like that .

It just burns me up ....

Sorry to hear the bad news. Please post the serial number of it.
The serial number could help a future owner many years from now identify it.

You should be able to get the number from your place of purchase as well if they are cooperative. Or at least work out possibilities.

Rick

It's a long shot that you'll find it again, but guitars do sometimes get recovered by the real owner. Forum user Harley Hexx found his early 80s 57 reissue after it was stolen years beforehand.

Take a bit of hope from that mate, sometimes they do come back.

Best Wishes for a safe return,
Eric Johnson also had his strats stolen only to find them years later when a neighborhood widow put her deceased husbands guitars up for sale..

well myself , Walt and his mgr. all came up with the same conclusion
Given the amount of and who's signatures on the guitar make it a white elephant .. No other one like it exists and that should make it hard to sell on the open market
I will get the serial number posted asap and put it out there

There are a few people out there looking and putting out the word
and I hope all that reads this post please do the same.

any company that verifies autographs will also be able to find out its stolen ....

Thanks for all your concerns

Rick

Awe man I feel for you.

There's a special place in hell for people who steel guitars.

Good thing is all the sigs make it more unique and easier to track. Did you clear coat them by any chance?

My heart goes out to you,I know how rotten I felt when someone stole a cheap Raven guitar I had bought expressly to take on camping trips. To have a guitar that contains the signatures of so many rock stars must be devastating.Given the rarity and uniqueness of the guitar if the theif is dumb enough to try to pawn it or sell it to a music store he'll no doubt get caught.I sincerely hope that you get it back and in great condition.

I hate to hear about the guitar. I've been checking Craigslist in different cities up there and around here too. No sign of it yet. It's possible you could get it back. Hopefully the sorry S.O.B. who stole it is a real dummy and will make a mistake with it.

Never got the chance I never had it back in my hands . Reason it was in the office is Walts band finished it's tour .. out of good thinking he left it in the office so when popular/known bands or artists came by for things like radio shows they could also sign it .. The goal was to Repaint it in Sharpie : )

Getting it back looks slim so were going to make an attempt to do this again
Walt is back with another member of his original band (Silvertide) New band is called Sinai and hopefully can pull it off in less time.
Last time took 5 years The guitar toured around the world for two of them. Imagine what kinda airport and customs stickers were on the case ...

I know if it takes that long my daughter will appreciate the time and effort put into it .. Right now she is only 7 so she has plenty of time . I myself am a little unsure of that ...

The first one was mine and had a release date the year my daughter was born it toured all over the place for the first time with Walt and his band so it has alot of sentimental value to me and my family
The second one will hopefully be done and be able to obtain the same goal , it will still be worth a million in our family's hearts.

Just would really like to snag the thief.........

Cameras ? hmm I'm going to ask about that
if high profile people come in there must be some type of security
