I want to buy this great amp, but I also want to buy a Stratocaster, and my budget is limited because well I'm 17 and I don't work full time or anything. So for you guys that like to try out guitars, can any of you tell me how good the 2006-07 & 2007-08 Standard and Deluxe MIM Strats are these days?

If your a member of this website you probably know people like to talk down on MIM Strats, I mean I hear about some bad experiences with MIM Strats but I also hear that recent MIM Strats have actually been pretty good. So can anyone tell me how these MIM Strats play these days?

Totally agree! My MIM is great. The bodies and necks are cut in the USA and sent to the Mexican factory for assembly and finishing

My 1998 MIM Strat is great, i upgraded it with Seymour Duncan Pick-ups
and a Gotoh vintage bridge with a steel block.
These days they should be better, especially the wood they use now.
I've owned several USA Strat's in the past.

My 96 HSS Strat is really nice, and worth the money. I own a USA Strat, and a Japanese Strat, and this MIM Strat is just as nice, not the SAME, but equally nice in fit and finish.

I actually can't believe how good they are. I played an Eric Johnson model, (not knowing that i was playing that model) and this MIM, and liked the MIM better.

I don't have the new (upgraded) model. I have a 2000 model and never had the first regret about it. I actually feel that I got my moneys worth and wasn't jack-legged one bit.

I've played some of the new ones, their fine in my opinion. I really can't compare it to my older model though, cause I've done so much to it.

I have a Jackson ,an acoustic ,a 1988 Charvel and I recently bought a MM Fender Strat and I must say the strat is my favourite.I don't even touch the other ones. The strat sounds good (good over-all tonee),nice action and playablity.I simply love it.Just having this guitar has inspired me to finally take formal lessons after twenty one years of playing.A great guitar.Good luck in your search.

I just got a hss MIM strat for christmas. Its a great guitar. My only complaint would be when i got it out of the box the humbucker had wax on the top of it. Other than that it plays great and sounds amazing.

I've got a Deluxes Players STrat from Mexico, very nice guitar. Nice playability after A LOT of adjusting and it comes with Vintage Noiseless Pick Ups which sound very nice, could possibly be upgraded. Haven't touched it since i got a Custom Shop though

Well I was thinking of getting a 07 Deluxe Players Strat that is MIM, because if you've seen this guitar, then you know how great it looks. Plus it comes with vintage noiseless pups. So what do you mean A LOT of adjusting? As in to your preferences or did it have problems with it?
