Is this normal? When I play my AVRI '57 for a length of time. (around 20 to 30 minutes, several songs in a row) I can feel the finish on the neck rolling up, up under my hand. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with the finish? :(

Are you sure its not just hand grime that is heating up from friction and rollin up? The finish should not be doing this.I have sprayed more nitro and poly than I care to admit and it shouldn't be doin that.
you got any pics we can see?

If I put pics on here you wouldn't be able to tell anything about it by looking at the pics. Can't put em on here at the moment anyhow. I washed my hands before i picked it up last time and it was still doing it. But Maybe I need to clean the neck eh? I will try cleaning the neck.

OOPS! Yep. I cleaned the neck and Problem solved. Didn't think it could've been dirt on the neck cuz I always make sure my hands are clean when I pick it up. I've had a few friends over lately and they've played it. Must have had dirty hands. I cleaned it then rubbed it pretty good with my hand, nothing happened, I guess its ok. Now I look like a dummy.

No worries.Everyones hands have natural oils .Even when your hands look clean they still have oils and can come off on the guitar neck from the friction created. You would be surprised the crud that comes off the strings after you have played for a bit....Glad that helped.I always wipe my neck and body after I play and it goes back in the case.Just habit for me but it seems to keep things much cleaner
