Hello,

I just bought a new Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster. My questions is about the tuners. First, the specs on the website said this: "Machine Heads: Fender/Ping Standard Cast/Sealed Tuning Machines". Does sealed tuning Machines mean that they are locking tuners (can I lock the tuning so it won't keep going out of tune when I use the tremolo?). I am asking because the one I got delivered to me did not have locking tuners and I want to know if I didn't understand well or is that something wrong with the guitar I got.

Thanks!

I don't use locking tuners, so I'm not very familiar with them, But the description you posted dosen't mention "locking" so I would think they are just seald tuners like Gototh or Grover type. 8)

Sealed just means that they are like Schaller or Grover tuners. Fender's vintage style tuners (either the Kluson style or the ones with the F on the back used from the late 60s through 1982) are not sealed and technically have to be lubed from time to time. If you look at a Kluson-style vintage tuner they have a small hole for you to put in a drop of machine oil.

The tuners on your Lonestar are sealed but not locking.
