hey guys whats up? so i have myself a 95 limited edition burgudy mist strat. from what i have been told is that there was 500 of this colour and 500 of the surf green, matching head stock. apparently it was made for 6 months then was stopped. does anyone know anything more, maybe a ball park of how many were made, and how many are left. whats the value etc. i have ever had solid answer on what its deal is. canada get the shaft when it comes to info i have found.

Pretty sure those were 500 made worldwide. I suspect that all were sold to dealers back in their year of manufacture. Fender did 6-8 of these "limited colors" over 1995/1996 - they would do 2 colors each 6 months. I'm remembering the burgandy mist, surf green, vintage white, and it was either ocean turquoise or lake placid blue. There might have been a another run of 2 other colors in 1996, and I just don't remember how the colors paired up.

It was the same deal as those limited run colors (surf green, sonic blue, fiesta red) from last year or this year's "Ebony and Ivory" runs - they made the entire run and offered it to dealers.

I've not seen them really command any extra price - they listed for maybe $100 more than the regular colors - unless someone really "has to have" that particular color then they might go for $30-$50 more than a standard color 1995/1996 American Standard Strat.

Still these are very cool pieces; hope you are enjoying yours!

that is wicked man thanks a bunch. Yeah she is a pretty sweet little unit, its one i will never get rid of...sentimental reasons as well as it plays sick!
