Hi to you all,

I'm Frans from the Netherlands and since last thursday in the proud posession of a Fender american series 50th anniversary edition.
I was looking for a stratocaster but they all seemed the same to me, hanging on the wall in the various stores I visited, even stood at the cash register with a am.del. but it just didn't feel right so I let it pass, I feel just lucky I did.
Just wanted something special if I was to spend somuch money on a guitar.
Spend a lot of hours on the net to see if there were other options and there she was.
Sitting in this beautifull tweed case and eye-hurting orange pluche, the owner really had a hard time parting with it but he needed the money that was burning in my pocket.
Needless to say that it convinced me she had been loved all these years, on top off that the guy played in a church to accompany the choir so it is hardly being used, all the case candy was there and the tremolo didn't even leave the case, beautifull tigerstripe and hardly any playwear.
At home I gave her a proper wipedown and hooked it up to my super champ.....needles and pins dude !!!, this is the sound I was looking for!!
I feel like a lucky man
Gonna plough through this forum to get all my questions answered and pick your brain whenever I can, great forum!

Welcome Frans. VERY nice wood grain on yours! I have a special 2004 50th AMSE also, but yours looks better It's my favorite Strat. You are going to love the '54 inspired pickups if you are a fan of vintage tones. Enjoy!
