Ok I tossed something very dirty together in about 20 minutes. This is nothing fancy and I am very embarrassed about the guitar playing.... I laid down a funky drum beat, added bass (Fender) and then Organ, splash cymbal and the guitar. The Super Sonic Buzzard on my special old Clapton type setting. Clean guitar into a tube amp and just the buzzer using a Strat Ultra in the bridge positions. 1.2 through I go into the neck position and added a little delay. Then at the very end a little chorus (with no delay). For some reason when I uploaded this the bass guitar became almost unhearable. So odd as it was the predominate part of this cheezey take.

Thank you Mr X, thats a lot better than I could have done.

How did you get it so clean sounding? Guitar volume? A really nice slightly nasal mid quality to that sound. I ought to start looking at a input attenuator control for it.

Hi ORCRiST. Seen it: replied. Don't worry mate, it's completely sortable. :)

And to Xhefri: neat sounds, man! I'm listening it through carefully several times, both to the tone and the playing. Bravo!

Don't tell Nick but I do quite like the bit with the chorus. Hmmm. I'm off to experiment with that a little myself... :D

And to Nick. Whatever makes you feel right. And of course this works both ways - we all have our dignity. How much do I owe you for the burnt Strat body? I got A LOT of value out of that, after all. It is going to be about 500 times the price of a bit of decal paper, that's for sure.

Seriously mate, I am so far in your debt. One more word from you on the subject and I'm going to have to come up there in person and kick you affectionately in the backside. In the friendliest possible spirit.

And talking of the North-East, got a train to catch.

Later - C

If you're on the 'Flying Scotsman' line (Kings cross to Edinburgh). I'll meet you on your way back, with your peda, if you wantl. It stops off here (best thing about the place is the train out).
Theres the payment for any printing.
As for the burnt strat, you did me the favour. Restored it from the ravages of my temper.

That's the cleanest sounding fuzz I've heard.
Doesn't make sense now that I've written it ...

Hmmm... methinks I'm having issues with Hotmail and England apparently. Haven't seen a thing from you mate! :( I sent you another one with my G-mail address, CC your response there too, just in case!

Cheers!

Odd. It hadn't bounced back in the couple of hours after I sent it. I'm on a train now (The Flying Scotsman that Nick alluded to) and away from my own email sytem for the weekend, but I'll try and sit down at a proper computer at some point and resend or rewrite or whatever. Can't be messing around writing complicated screeds on this silly little phone screen.

Anyhow, don't worry, help is at hand and it is easily fixable. Won't go into it here but hold fire and we'll sort it shortly.

Later - C

It is indeed the Flying Scotsman, though as far as I can see the nearest it stops to you is Newcastle...? We're going to Berwick: brother-in-law's house-warming.

Nick, I must have missed something somewhere about these pedals, probably cos I never look at FaceBook. How much are they, please?

Cheers - C

hey Nick, I had the pedal set like in the picture below. As you can see, the "attitude" is down quite a bit. One time last night the pedal when almost total clean, and I unplugged and re-plugged into it and bang she was back to noise. The guitar was on 8 most of the time. That sound was a lot like an old tube amp. Really claptonish. I was purposely in a sloppy throw around the notes mode for that beat and tone...Maybe this weekend I will record something different with the attitude turn way up!

You know, like the height of an aircraft? Aka a play one the words 'SuperSonic'?

Sorry, feeling rather cheeky today, I blame Ceri.

ORC

Excellent!

Hi again Nick: we're on the train home this afternoon. A more sensible look at the route suggests York is probably our closest stop to you - though that's a long way from where you live. Actually, you ain't much further from London!

Mate, I think we'll give the idea of you driving 150 miles round journey for a 90 second meeting through a train door a miss, don't you? I think that would be just entirely unfair on our Ninja, and not the way you want to spend this sunny Sunday afternoon. But thank you so much for the amazingly generous thought.

More on this - later.

Cheers - C
