Been trying some transparent paper thing. If I try printing onto the thin stuff, the ink just doesn't penetrate the sheet at all. It just smears as the ink cartridge passes over. Or when it does come out ok'ish (acceptable only for my own pedal) if I try and plastikote clear coat it, ithe ink bubbles then disintigrates.
Absolutely no chance of me doing it myself. The stockpile for tomorrow nights festivities is on the verge of having my printer as the Guy. Epson is my new pet hate, they've even toppled 'the one show' from top spot.

Oi Nik, you could give "my guy" in England a call - he's the one the did my headstock decal - Simon at decartdecals.com (I added him to page one on my thread when talking about the Vickers/Supermarine decal). Maybe he can help you out and he's local (to you).

You're dealing with a absolute artistic neanderthal here mate. I don't care in the slightest about paper and don't even know what resolution is. I just want something put onto something else and be able to stick it to a metal box. I'm also completely one track minded. Throw a spanner in the works like them questions and I just don't bother responding and have to walk away. You may as well ask me to perform brain surgery on the next Egyptian god that walks past.


Besides which he wants around £7 a sticker, looking at his ebay listings. Lucky he aint putting the guillotine charge on too.
Great work but very very pricey.
I'll hand paint the boxes before I pay that.

Again, I seem to do fine with decals, so if a waterslide transfer is the way you're doing this I'm absolutely delighted to handle that part of it for you. Email me your design and I shall turn it into transfers and pop them in the post back to you.

These charges you are being quoted are absolutely nuts. Are these people living in a different universe?

To be clear, no charge from me (the cost is negligible, after all), so we will both be ready to enjoy our bonfires and fireworks tomorrow night hassle-free.

Can't complain Hop, had to get my right arm turned to pop shoulder back in two days ago for the umpteenth time. Sore now and using oxycod and tiger balm Was doing side job on a shower that had been leaking for a while and slipped on moldy concrete in hollow wall opening were the plumbing was. Went back got it done though along with heater/exhaust fan. The things we have to do.

Heard off our fave VinnyPop earlier (2nd Ozzy customer btw. Impulse's order is waiting to go.) He's just moving into his folks house. Lovely bloke, really. Despite some of his more rogue'ish tendencies.

Then again I could say that of everyone I associate with through this site. I first visited this forum because someone on another forum said 'yeah I know their a snooty lot over there'. All I could think was 'well snooty has to be better than this missing link behaviour I'm seeing here'.
