I'm considering buying this guitar. Pease check it out with the link below. It is to my understanding that these guitars have the reverse wound reverse polarity middle pickup and a thick neck with medium/jumbo frets. Is this information accurate? I'm gonna keep my AVRI '57 and get a 62 Hot Rod also. I dont wanna change anything on my 57 because of the value and I love it so much I can't bring myself to sell. I've read great things about the neck and playability of the 62 hot rod. Will some of you experts on here please give your opinions?http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160499346168&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Sounds like you have the details right. The Hot Rod '62 is just like the '62 RI, except for the reverse wound middle pickup, a 9.5 inch radius, and bigger frets. That is a nice looking Strat, great color! :)

I've owned lots of Strats over the years and right now I own 5...including a '57 RI and a '62 Hot Rod.
The '62 HR is my alltime favorite, and that takes into consideration an original '65 I once had also.
Everything just feels right and sounds right on this one.
I hope you'll like yours as much if you buy it....although it's all personal preference....which I'm sure you know.
