well in search of having a versatile and different guitar, and after long thought, i returned the american deluxe v neck to original spec, with the exception of 10s. just didnt grow on me. besides the deluxe is very different.
for humbucker use i have the lespaul anyway.

by the way, i did my 1st soldering job successfully. the wiring diagram for the am deluxe is missing the lead wire from the input jack connection to volume pot middle lug, so i was alittle confused. at 1st.

no loss, i will find use for the tx specials, i will install them in the neck and middle position. (on my american standard)
the only thing im not sure of, i dont think position 4 being mid and bridge will be hum cancelling completely, being not the same output.
std pickups are alnico 5 same as the tx spcl. i think they will blend well

what do you guys think.

Hi bluesstrattone,

Firstly, position 4 is normally neck and mid pickups (standard wiring). 1-bridge, 2-bridge and middle, 3-middle, 4-middle and neck, 5-neck. I have noticed that some of the Fender Strat schematics are mislabeled, showing position 1 as neck, this is incorrect. You should still get noise canceling in positions 2 and 4 as long as your middle pickup is RWRP.

Congrats on the solder job! Nothing better than doing it yourself. :)
