So I'm gonna buy another strat soon and It's gonna be sienna burst maybe with a maple neck. I also just finished looking at the thread about pics of your guitars and saw maybe one or two in sienna burst. I love this color and would like for any sienna burst strat owners to post pics here please! Show me your beauties!

Hi muramasa674: OK, I'll bite. Here's my 2005 Am Series ash HSS with S-1 Switch and parchment plastics. Nice grain, huh?:

Beautiful guitars. Sienna Sunburst is by far, my favorite flavor and will hopefully be my next.
Ceri, pictures don't always do justice to the item being photographed and if that's the case with your picture then that baby must be absolutely breathtaking. I'm sure it plays as good as it looks.

Here is mine. A 2008 as well. Once I laid eyes on this one I just had to have it. I used to love the 3 tone burst strats best but I fell head over heels when this one came on the scene.

I'm wondering what the difference is between a Sienna burst and a Cherry burst. 500Mike's is pretty clear cut because of the brownish color on the edge but a few of these I would have easily mistaken for a Cherry. Is it just a subtle difference or are some of these pictures just showing more red than they should?

This is my cherry burst with Ceri's Sienna. I don't see much of a difference other than the top woods.

And I'm not being cocky, I seriously don't understand what is so different. School me, fellas.

Nice flamey maple top :o

The bridge pickup looks like a Fast Track or a single coil-sized Tone Zone. Are you really a Sonny Landreth fan?

HA!! Sorry, I don't even know who Sonny Landreth is. But you can bet I'll be checking him out on YouTube now. Always great to find something new.

Hi Mully: this question comes up regularly. Rather than attempt to describe it in words let's just look at a picture. :D I recall a thread back in October '09 where Forum user jromanov posted this photo of his Sienna Strat next to his Aged Cherry Tele. You judge if you think the difference is a big one or no...:

Image

I guess the middle bit of the 'burst is a bit darker on the Cherry...?

BTW Mully, that flamey Strat of yours is simply gorgeous! I am in love. Congrats.

Now please do something about that horrible bit of black tape. Howabout a mirror screw with it's domed chrome cap to cover where you don't want the volume knob instead? That bit of tape is like a carbuncle on the face of Marilyn Monroe! (That is all meant in friendly good humor...)

Cheers - C
