I went to try a 60'S Road worn out today at GC I love the sound the general feel of the neck but the action was way high. The tech there said it was about as low as it could go without a lot of buzz.

Went across town to another GC and tried another one this one the salesman said had been setup. The action still felt very high.

I have a 50th Ann AM DLX 12" radius c shape neck and the action is great.

Now the question how does the action of your RW compare to your other strats? Do the RW just have a high action due to a diffrent neck?

I know some have change the bridge for better sustain did it help the action any?

Thanks for any feedback,
Ray

Hi RayO,

You can adjust the action low if you like. Generally speaking, the smaller radius means that it may fret out when bending strings if the action is too low. This guitar is no different than any other as far as the setup goes, set the action low or high. The 12 inch radius on the Deluxe is generally better for lower action. I did change my bridge to a Callaham, but there is no difference at all for the string height adjustment.
