WOW - My dreams have been answered... I just saw a new video for the new Fender American Deluxe... The new models remind me of a Strat Plus on steroids!! Wild new finishes, LSR roller nut, locking tuners, contoured heel, new state-of-the-art, N3 pickups... Man, I got to get me one of these!!! Old strats for sale... old strats for sale!!!

2011 or 2010? It looks like an older video and it's pretty much the same as my 2010 Deluxe, maybe it's a typo...

They're well made guitars, but I wasn't a fan of the N3 from day 1!

No, these are the 2010s. The American Deluxe info and video was up on their home page back in the spring - they were "soft launched" in March by Fender putting them on the website and running ads in the magazines instead of showing them at the January NAMM (and Fender wasn't at the Summer NAMM this year) but it has been off that rotating "feature" on the home page for a couple of months.

For those wating on orders I hope Fender has put the American Deluxe page link back up on the home page because they have a large run ready to hit the stores before Christmas.

2010 American Deluxe Strats are finally starting to trickle into stores. The Guitar Center I visit the most has had 3 of the Olympic Pearl HSS Strats and just got in a 2 Tone Sunburst SSS V Neck this week. I'm not usually a fan of HSS Strats but the 2010 Amercian Deluxe won me over in a hurry and I traded for one. It's an amazing guitar, immaculate in every way.

Haven't had a chance to play one of the Teles yet but I'm looking forward to it.
