I whant to take out the 2 sound control and leave only the volume.
Will it change the sound ?
If yes can I just put a load (resistor) and what load? ) to compensate ?
thanks

Hi gonogotoday,

If you have a position on your Strat with no tone control (like the bridge on many Strats), that is what it will sound like, as bright and full as possible. Many people find that a bridge pickup without a tone control can sound too bright or harsh. Adjust your tone control to where you like the sound, then measure the resistance of the pot at that point, then use a resistor and the existing capacitor in place of the pot to duplicate that sound. You could just eliminate one tone pot (top), and make the other one a master tone (bottom), then move your volume to the middle spot where the top tone control was.
