I like mine a lot. Obviously there are much better ones out there, but in that price range I think it's the best. Nice and small for at home playing but still holds great tone and quality.

It is definitely one of my favorite amps. It has everything that I want in an amp, but it's so small! I don't use it to practice as much as I should, but it's also my dad's and I don't want to accidentally break someting and then have to pay for the repairs...

It's an absolutely awesome amp! I own a Hot Rod Deluxe, not a Blues Jr., but I've played them several times. They have gorgeous cleans and thanks to the master+volume knobs, they are one of the few amps that can get tube overdrive at decent volumes.

One of the amps I own is the Blues Jr. Tweed ( NOS ) and it's fantastic for that bluesy/rock sound. It's perfect for at home, not gigging with it solo.
You can get quite a few different sounds - play around with it :D By the way, go thru the past posts about the BJ. They can be quirky things. Mine for instance  occasionally buzzes whwn a G note is played on certain settings. Doesn't matter where on the fretboard it's played - and only on certain settings

My buddy had one (the fool sold it!), and I thought it really kicked butt!

My favorite small amp. Great for playing at home, small gigs, if you need additional volume just mic it. It wont have the balls of a Hot Rod Deluxe, but keep in mind its only 15 watts, easy to carry and its a sweet amp. It is also louder than most 30 - 40 watt solid state amps. Give me 15 watts of all tube tone anyday over solid state.

I was jamming with a friend of mine yesterday, and we switched off amps, me taking his tiny Marshall battery powered with the intense overdrive, and he trying out the Blues Junior. Right away he was shocked and talking about how impressed he was by the great tone he was getting from the Blues Junior.

The Blues Junior really goes well with a Strat, but he was playing an Ibanez 335 knock-off, and still loved it. If you crank the volume (preamp) to 11 and put the master at a little past 2, you get a monster amount of sound with a lot of overdrive, but you can back off the volume knob on the guitar to control it completely and got back to cleaner sound. Usually, I'm set up at about 8 on the volume and around 2 on the Master for a fat tone but still clean. For a real sparkling tone with lots of sustain back away on the volume, boost the master a bit, and up the reverb. Lots of sounds in this little box, and it's all coming from those glowing tubes in the back.

I love mine. I've modded it a bit with some of the BillM mods found here:http://home.comcast.net/~machrone/bluesjunior.htm . I also replaced the speaker with an Eminenece Texas Heat and the reverb tank with a Ruby reverb tank. Without the mods, the amp is good. With my mods, this amp kicks some serious butt.

I bought the tweed nos blues jr. over the standard for the better speaker. As for volume its way loud even for 15w. The amp is very quiet with my humbucking guitar and a bit of noise with my strat. All in all for half a grand a great deal.
