Which CustomShop Classic guitar do you mean?
The Custom Classic, The Classic Player, theres some others too.

I'd have to pick the Customshop guitar. I own both a 57 Hotrod and a Custom Classic. Despite the Hotrod being my favourite guitar, the Custom Classic is far better made.

Both those links are to Custom Classic guitars, poorly listed.

Get the maple necked one.

i guess it depends what you are going for. The custom classic is basically CS version of the American Standard, the hot rod is a beefed up 62 RI. I have a custom shop deluxe as well as a custom shop 65' relic and a couple of american deluxes. I can honestly say that there is nothing like custom shop guitars, they are built so nice. Having said that I am more into vintage guitars and would go for the hot rod. I like the vintage bridge and the vintage tuners, there is some differance in sound and feel with modern trimmings. The custom classic also has a thinner neck, more like the AS, the 62 hot rod has a huge neck, like .89- .97, if you like em thick then this is for you. The only thing I would change on that guitar is the jumbo frets to 6105's and the pickups to fat 50's or 69's.

I prefer rosewood, but of course I don't buy it for this unbeliveable price.
Doesn't matter which I buy, I want in future change pickup to Lindy Fralin.
You say that CS is built better? If so I will choose CS.

You may find you don't want Fralin's after hearing them classic and hot classic pickups.
They sell like hotcakes on ebay.

Well worth giving em a fair try out.
