What is the opinion of this group on the Lonestar Stratocaster? There is one for sale in my area thats listed as an American Deluxe Texas Strat. As far as I can tell. its a lonestar. I'm not sure what makes it a deluxe.

Well there is the American Deluxe ,the American Lonestar which became the Texas Special Fat Strat and the present Lonestar ,which is made in Mexico.I would get detailed info on the guitar first. There never was an American Deluxe Lonestar, but the present one is part of the Made in Mexico "Deluxe" series. The MIA lonestars were really nice.I had one myself. The MIM lonestars are ok to decent ,JMHO.

I used to have an American Lonestar but I never really bonded with the high output TS single coils and bridge pup, a Duncan Pearly Gates.

If you like a Strat with a lot of gnarly bite, you'd like this model.

I love my MiM Lone Star Strat. For me, great sound from the Texas Specials and the Seymour Duncan. Of course, I have a great setup guy too but it really sounds sweet.
