I bought a '57 reissue off of e-bay 2 days ago. It hasn't arrived yet. I'm really anxious for it to get here. It's brand new (he says). I'm a little worried bc I've never bought a guitar I didn't play first. I suppose if I'm not happy with it I can sell it. It's a beautiful White/Blonde with aged white pickups and knobs and a maple neck. Does anyone on here have an American Vintage '57 Reissue and how do ya like it? What's your opinion of it? What bout the price too? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT

I love my 57 reissue! Its an amazing guitar. IMO its one the best production line guitars made. I really like the neck, it seems to just fit perfectly in my hand. I have had mine for almost 3 years and its beginning to get its own character because of the nitro finish which is totally awesome.

Did he say what year it was? They don't have a white one listed on the current models, but might of had them in the previous years.

Looks nice. I don't know about the part where he says that he's not taken returns anymore because of a lot of people returning things for no reason.

That would of probably scared me away, but he has great feedback so you should be ok.

It definetaly looks like the real deal. You'll love it. Fender just recently dropped a few of the the colors. When i bought mine almost 3 years ago the color options were black, white blonde, surf green, 2TSB, ice blue metallic and ocean turqoise.

I have a black one and I like it. I put in the 5 position switch right away because I was having trouble getting the 2 and 4 positions to stay there. I also loaded it with Texas Specials and I love the sound.

I had to go play mine after reading this post. I did once buy a strat off the internet and swore I would never buy one i had not played first, however, I grew into liking the neck so much it is one of my main guitars. I repented of my idea and have bought three guitars off the internet now. To each his own I guess.

I have never bought a guitar without playing it first. It looks beautiful from the pictures and also a good price. While I don't have a 57 reissue( I have a 62 reissue) I have played several 57's and they were all great. The 57 and 62 reissue are the best production strats that fender makes.

Thanks to all the feeddback. I'm 34 years old and I've been wanting an American Strat since I was 10. I got a Made In Japan for Christmas when I was 10 and thats what I learned to play on. I was worried I may have made a mistake buying one off the internet but with all the good thing ya'll wrote about it, I feel better now. It's suppose to be here in 2 days. Thanks gain guys.

You're going to love it. I have 6 strats, and my 57 AVRI is my favorite.

Best production Strat made.

:D
