Among SO many others, I must also thank our own 'cedarblues' for his generosity. Knowing it would be a backup, he still chose to donate his American Deluxe Strat neck w/string tree and locking tuners:

Again, my profound gratitude!

I must admit, I was having a bit of mental fun pondering the 'unknown' of the below task:

Image

I didn't have to break out my Medieval Soldering Iron for the claw. The gun did the job quite nicely as you can see above. I'm sure some here will be mighty relieved.

Yes, I'm one of those types who triangulates the springs as I feel it serves for a more focused, centralized pulling point, thus ensuring the tremolo has a more synchronized and predictable pull and return. I feel this is much superior to the 1,3 and 5 spacing of the springs as with the 1, 3 and 5 system, the tension will constantly fluctuate from spring to spring on pull or return of the block and can also microscopically shift the claw each time too. YMMV.

Well, as you may have deduced (and you'd be right), the guitar is all wired up, the pickguard is buttoned up; the strap locks and locking tuners are installed. The only tasks left to do is to string it up, perform a complete setup and most importantly, present it to you all.

I'll be back in a couple of hours with OUR ULTIMATE FRATOCASTER guitar!!!

So you did use the MIA neck verses the MIM neck? Looking great! You will have to record a few tunes and put them on esnipes! Cool!

No, the MIM neck is still on it. The Deluxe is the backup.

As to esnipes, remember, I'm an old fart and haven't a clue what you are talking about.

I can go on and on about how grateful I am to all of you for your generosity. Please know it is overwhelmingly there and always shall be.

I take incredible pride in presenting OUR guitar to you all and hope that you have all, enjoyed “the ride” as much as I.

And now, without any further ado, here it is:

And one to show the tremolo block setup:

I truly hope this has lived up to everyone's expectations and that none are disappointed. In my humble opinion, it plays and sounds as good as it looks!

There are just a couple of last minute details:

Nutter, I somehow messed up the sizing of the logo and it is now too big to where I can’t get it back to what was the right size. Would you please shoot me a new one and also tell me what kind of transfer material I should print it on and do I need to use a laser printer?

Lastly, we still don’t have an official name for it yet.
