hey guys,
my olympic white strat looks beautiful with her white pickguard but i think she's in need of a makeover! i've looked into mint but it doesn't wow me that much and i've looked into tortoise but IMHO it's overdone and cliche. as you can see, my olympic white is quite creamy and my fretboard is maple.

any suggestions, good or bad, are appreciated.

cheers,
flickers.

I'm quite partial to mint green with Olympic white but otherwise +1 for Parchment.

Mee too. She's gorgeous already.

If you want to experiement, pick up a decent Squier and decorate that..

The white on white is just classic and should be left that way,if any change is made I wouldn't go for anything other than parchment or a triple layer white/black/white guard.

I have one like the photo , white and maple. I put a tortise pickguard and aged white knobs and pickup covers. Looks really nice.

I think your guitar looks great, it is a classic look with the maple. But the Tortoise is also another classic look and a bold statement.

Mine has a mint green which I love(I put one on my old black tele too and i'm tracking one down for the bronco bass just bought). But if you do the mint green you really have to change the knobs and pickup covers as well to cream. but it looks amazing. Maybe you could just try the cream knobs and covers on their own. I had that before I did the pickguard and it looked nice, very neat with the body's colour,

I say stick with it the way it is. I have a 97 Eric Clapton model in this color configuration and the Olympic white has taken on it's own personality over the years and has darkened up nicely. The body doesn't match the pickguard as much as it did 13 year ago. Personally, I'd leave it as is.
