Post subject: Genuine Fender Parts Medallion??...

I just looked at a used "62 Vintage Reissue" that was a funky sonic blue with maple neck. The neckplate was blank. The body had a medallion inset in the midle of the back of the body that read: Genuine Fender Part (pretty sure that was the text) The neck had the same medallion under the tuners on the back of the headstock. Very odd to me and I passed on the guitar. Does anyone know about these guitars...or parts??

Sounds like it could be a Warmouth body and neck. Didn't they use that emblem for a while?
