Ah you guys who play it safe eh? I have to teeter between two edges. Failure and triumph. Well theres a triumph in my book. A guitar that looks so good I had to dig Killers out the record collection.

Damnit I love what I seen so far.

Well back to guitars. Wow! after looking at everything available I may never buy a factory guitar again. I have been taking apart and upgrading my squires and building a strat from a new alder/sunburst MIM body and 2008 MIA neck with 57/62 pickups. I have yet to finish the wiring but its near complete.

I have two beautiful squire II maple necks from plywood Korean issues. I have floated this before. The heels of the necks are not standard pattern. they are somewhat more oval than a standard neck and don't fit the pocket correctly. Any way I am hoping to adapt them to a couple of nice bodies. they are really nice slim shiny amber/gloss necks.

I am after a nice gibson LP sounding blusie humbucker sound. Have you ever tried a mahogany strat body with humbuckers?
