I bought, what was suppose to be, a Fender guitar in 2006. I did not read the box the guitar came in. Yes, I said box. I bought a complete package which included an amp, the guitar plus a few accessories. I have never own a Fender guitar, the last electric guitar I had was a Yamaha, or something. I noticed my guitar was black and white, but it has diamond dust (silver glitter) in the black paint of the body. The white front and back plates are white but kind of peraled or more like plastic pieces molded together in different directions, some of my picks are made this way as well.

My brother pointed out on the box that it was a Fender 60th anniversary edition, but I have my doubts that is may be a real Fender. I checked online for a manual for this type of guitar, I cannot find one. I need to change my strings and not use to the way its strung. The back silver neck plate is plain. I will upload pics if anyone would like to see this thing in order for me to know more about this guitar. Another thing odd about mine is that one the back of my guitar's neck there is golden sticker that says, "made in China." Most of the posts here and other places, plus stores, their guitars are all made either in U.S., Mexico or Japan. :?:

Its not a Fender per se even though it says Fender on it. It is a Cheap, import made Strat type guitar called the Starcaster. Not to be confused with the vintage American made Starcaster semi-hollow body. The starcasters are usually sold at stores like Target, Sams Club, and Best Buys with a non musical section. All Fenders/Squiers made in 2006 wore a 60th anniversary marking once again not to be confused with the actual 60th anniversary models. Although it says Fender, it is only loosely so as it is made with inferior parts and materials compared even to the lower budget Mexican and Korean Fenders.

Its a starcaster. Its Fenders starter guitar and the quality can be pretty iffy.
