It sounds very different from the guitars I've had so far. The sound is lighter and less rounded than my other humbucker guitars. This is my first single coil guitar. I guess it is a matter of time to get used to it.
The neck is extremely confortable on the other hand.

Look, this is exactly the sound I get from it (the first seconds of this Crowded House song)

Have a nice day. :)

Juaollla - I am right there with you on wanting every detail of a guitar to be perfect, visually and otherwise. While I am sure if it played well I would just keep it and deal with the blemishes, I do believe the first one you had would have bothered me. The exchange, not so much, as the marks are smaller and more in line with the wood grain. It's good that you were able to exchange it for one that you were pleased with (which IMO is all that really matters in the long run), and hopefully you get many years of enjoyment out of it.
BTW...I love sunburst Strats, and yours is no exception.

Actually, it does, to a degree... top photo lower left... I see a mineral stain.

I see some too.

Usually, those "lines" one finds in alder are quite short and unobtrusive.

Hey, Strataholic, how are you doing?

As two people have already said, you can see one of these marks in the lower left corner of the top pic. That is exactly the kind of marks that my first guitar had all over the body, especially the upper half (where you lean your forearm) front and back.
