mine just happens to be the one i own, my baby :P. i know for most she looks a bit unseemly with the logos haphazardly screwed in there (a LOT of thought went into placing those bad boys), but for me shes perfect, between the pickups going nicely with the black pickguard, my scalloping job on frets 4 though 16, the logos, and the gold straplocks (more gold to come once some more funds roll in, im going for some locking tuners and a gold bridge, as well as a steel bridge block. any cost efficient recommendations would be appreciated :) ), shes a beaut. to me at least. what about you guys, do you have any weird things youve done to your strats?

i tried to post pics of mine, but that didnt go well, so heres a URL if anyone wants to check her out: http://s1119.photobucket.com/albums/k63 ... _0727.jpg#

Were you worried that people wouldn't believe the guitar was a Fender?

hahahaha!! thats a story i could definitely tell people. they actually have some history to them, one logo came from a guitar shop from a town close by that i used to frequent. when the owner moved, he gave me the logo as a sort of memorial to the shop. i figured what better way to immortalize it than put on my strat!

Why did you install the logo upside down, wasn't there room to turn it right side up?

I thought you might play Jimi Style, a right hand guitar left handed. But the strings are strung up for right hand. Only because the logo is upside down when you are playing. Are they jumbo frets?

well its upside down for two reasons: the guys at the bar and for ME of course, just in case i happen to forget what kind of guitar im playing :P

and actually there wasnt room to install it right ways up, the edges hung off a bit. plus it looks quite good on stage when you walk off carrying it by the shorter horn and its right side up. i dont know i just like it i guess.

Looking over your guitar, I like the speed knobs, I have similar ones on mine. I can't really see the scallop job that well, but if it works for you, then it's all good.
Quite a unique choice of pick-ups, again, if it gives you the tone you need, it's still good.
I like the logo on the bottom of the bridge, not sure about the one on the top horn.

As long as you like it, that is all that counts.

Now you take mine, I bought this 2010 as a H-S-S, and so far i have replaced all the pick ups (Now a S-S-S) and new string tree, and brass block tremolo, custom speed knobs with yellow rhinestone dots.
I keep playing with it, and I am now just play it.
The Pick-ups are the Abby wound 1969's in the bridge and the neck, and a fat 50's reverse wound, reverse polarity center. I also have a oil and paper cap in it. I had to replace the pick guard, so i used the Fender gold aluminum one, it really looks great with the color of the guitar, but more important then looks it the way it kills off the single coil hum issue.
It sounds great (To me and my friends) and again it's all that counts to me.

What it was...

When I read that you'd screwed the logos on, I thought "WTF? Surely they're water slide.."

ooh yeah i like the sparkly finish on that one, it looks great and im sure it sounds great too! yeah my guitar works perfectly for me, but probably not too well for other people hahahaha. i like the pickups a lot, especially with the coil tap, i love the versatility that comes with that...
