Just discovered this most magnificent looking Custom Shop Strat - almost drowned in my own drool.

Only 25 made, for the most prestigious of Jaguars Cars show rooms. British Racing Green, walnut burr scratchplate, gold plating everywhere, leaping cat fret markers, white leather inner case.. OMG it's utterly beautiful.

Take a look and remember to magnify the images!

Adey

Alain LaFrance has one.

PMT Birmingham had one in for a while too. Don't think I've ever seen a more striking strat.

That guitar is pure and raw beauty. When I look at it, it feels like it is just about to change transmission from 5th to 6th and disappear with a cloud of dust in the sun setting horizon.

But wouldn't it be more of a symbolic thing of it was a Fender Jaguar? Might not look as classy to many people, though...

You beat me to it Nik,I told Alain when he posted pix of it that it was the most strikingly beautiful Strat I've ever seen.If I had a choice between one of them and an early '54 Strat I'd have areal hard time deciding. I wonder if they'd consider an even trade for a few of mine?Of course the lottery is about$17 million tonight-you never know lol.

You think their beautifull seeing em online. Wait till you get within 1ft of one. The wallnut is really breathtaking.

I'm going to encroach on Alains territory here.

Where are the pickguard screws?

I hadn't noticed that but you're right, there appears to be no pick guard screws.I couldn't see any sign of any screw holes that were covered or filled.I wonder if the pickguards are held in place by some kind of non- permanent adhesive-I can't see how else they could do it unless they used magnets or Velcro.

Yes, I felt sure that some of you guys must have seen the guitar before.

Alain LaFrance has one? Lucky (and very wealthy) guy! I've seen from other posts here that he has an impossible selection of extraordinary instruments.

Damn, I missed seeing one in PMT then - I've spent a lot of time in that store.. Ah well..

I've seen many marvellous Strats here and elsewhere, and lusted after them all. But there is something about that Jaguar that really draws the eye.

Guess it just goes to demonstrate, that even after 56 or so years, Leo & Team's baby is still an incredible platform for artistic and musical expression. And that's why we we're all here I guess..

I'm 50 today (which still seems impossible to me), but I have to report that a Jaguar Strat was not waiting for me when I got up this morning. However, I was given 2 tickets to see Jeff Beck next Sunday, so that will have to do!

Happy Brithday Adey.
Lots of October babies on this forum. 2 tickets to see JB eh, well some one is loved. Two bus tickets is more my usuall present. Think she's trying to tell me something?

The way they got the pickguard and backplate on that guitar are amazing. True works of genius.
I'll leave you guys guessing.
