Took the plunge and moved from Lincoln, NE to Middletown, CT last week. 98% of my belongings are in a storage unit in Lincoln, as I was limited to what I could fit in the car. I wont be back to U-Haul my stuff over until after the winter.
Because I had to cram everything into a mid-sized sedan, I could only bring one guitar and one amp. Couldn't leave without my Gibson, so had to leave my MIA Stratocaster in the care of my little bro (who is infamous for experimental mods ). After my departure, he jokingly suggested that it would look sweet with a wolf painted on it.
Anyway, this is probably the first time since I was 18 that I have not had at least one Fender at my disposal. Its only for a couple of months, but I definitely miss my baby. On that note, I'm down to jam if anyone around Hartford or New Haven wants to kick it.

Nevin,where did you find that guitar picture?I'm a big supporter of wolf conservation and protection and an avid member of CPAWS that's dedicated to saving wolves,their habitats and wilderness areas.I'd like to get info on the guitar carved with the likeness of my favourite animal.

Sorry you had to move to CT. I lived there for 45 years. Lousy weather, bad politics but the salt water fishing is pretty good. IMHO Arizona is better.

Hell, I love it here. 2 hour train ride to NYC, Hour 30 from Boston, 30 min to Hartford, 40 min from New Haven, and best of all, 30 min from the coast. Already got Knicks tickets for the opener, and met some people to jam with. If you went to high school and college in Lincoln, NE, New England weather is more than tolerable.

Thanks for the link Nevin.I was looking over Doug Rowell's work-quite impressive.His human likenesses aren't really good representations of who they are supposed to be but then again human likenesses are the hardest to carve,his other work is really good and he only charges between $800-$1,500 per finished instrument,quite a bargain for a one off work.
