Hi! iam new on the forums.
i just got a strat for christmas... ive been playing for about 4 months, and this is my first electric, and i absolutely love it! :D
its a maple neck, dakota red (gorgeous color BTW 8) ). i been fooling around with it almost constantly and i got the knops and pick up switch figuered out, since there wasent any kind of guide or anything with it. When i was playing on the acoustic i could only dream of playing all the great rock music which i love (i consider myself an old-school rock fanatic :P) but with this lovely guitar i can actually play it! it inspires me so much! i can really feel my playing has enhanced greatly already!

il try and post pictures later :)

oh and its kinda strange... on the bill (or receipt oh what ever its called) its says it an american strat, and then theres a number, but on the neck it says "MIM" and then theres a different number... could it be that the body is american, but the neck has been switched?
but anyway, i love it! :D

If it says Made in Mexico on the neck, then it is a Mexican made strat. If you paid for an American strat you better pack that axe up or demand a refund of the difference. If you love it, and it sounds like you do, I'd go for the later.

How much did you pay for it? That'll tell you right there which one it is.

Congrats on your new guitar.
