ok i have a squier jagmaster it has an alder body and rosewood fretboard. i am looking to get a single coil put in the bridge position and i am looking for advice on what would suit my needs. i want a vintage type of sound like late 50s-early 60s. and i don't want to spend more than $100 for the pickup.

Aside from mentioning the time period of late 50's-early 60's , you never mentioned what STYLE of music you play. (Unless....it's the style of that time period.)
Regardless....as far as single coil bridge pups, which tend to be thin and brittle....I've had GREAT success with the Dimarzio Virtual Solo. It's nice and chunky sounding....almost P-90 like....and...the best part.....NOISELESS!!!!

In that case....The Virtual Solo will , without a doubt, take you there!
