While the pickups that come stock in both Fender and Gibson are decent enough and very usable when I replace them with aftermarket pickups I use WCR's. I have a BetSet in my Gibson LP and an SR set in my Fender Strat.

humbucker= bareknuckle pups, mule pickup
single coil= stephens design, red house pickup

also i love my custom staggered tex-mex's and i like the van zandts blues pickups. i want to hear the peter florence voodoo pickups and all the odd one-off's "only sold with the guitar" custom shop pickups. the custom shop 60's are ok to me too but just alittle too bright and sparkely for me, i like the warm kind of bell-saxophone sound. :D
