Dear friends,

Just a quick question. I have a Fender deluxe power strat here, however the tremolo only goes down by 1 whole tone. Is this normal? How many tones/steps down does yours go? Please advise of your strat model.

Regards,
Omnirife

Do you mean flat or sharp?
Downwards would normally indicate your bending flat.
In which case no a whole step isn't that much.

The Fender setup says to set the floating bridge about 1/8" off the body.
Refer to the top part of this photo for what this looks like.
Doesn't make a lot of difference what model and Fender Strat bridge you have.

But really where you set it - is up to you.
Pulling upwards sharp to get a step would be fine.

Yes, I mean bending flat. I think I will try out some more strats because I want to be able to go further down/flat. One whole tone is ok but but I need a bit more, two would be great.
