Hi, i need help identifying this strat. From the MSN 3***** Serial i am guessing that it is some Mexican artist model from the nineties but i have no idea what signature model it is. Maybe someone of the experts here can help me out? Many thanks!

I'm pretty sure that is a fake . The saddles look like the cheap Import Squier ones, and the tuners look like cheap Gotoh style which I believe have never been put on a MIM. Also the vintage spaghetti logo hardly ever ( If at all) goes on a guitar with 2 string trees. Also the truss rod hole at the headstock doesn't have a black plastic insert like it should if it were an MIM. Where did you get it from?

Thanks for your reply, very helpful. I haven't bought it yet. After what you told me i think I'll better keep my hands off this guitar. Thanks again!

Avoid it mate.

I don't think there were any artist models from Mexico that early on, could be wrong on that count though.

The fact that whoever is selling it doesn't know or won't say which artist model it is, is very suspicious.

Hi

just click on them, these are high-res pictures.
Anyway: I already canceled the deal, thanks to all of you for your help. I am really glad you kept me from buying a fake-strat.
