I just picked up an older cp60s strat with the "AY" initials on the pickups. What is the bridge spacing because it feels narrower than my JM strat, but the specs both say 43mm nut width. Also, is the tremolo a solid steel block?

Anyone replace theirs with something from callaham? I didn't understand the specs stating a two point trem offered outside the custom shop??

It sounds nice though, but that glossy back of neck has got to go, too sticky...

If it is a MZ6 serial then it does have a steel block.

I believe the spacing is the smaller spacing.

When these first came out they were the first strats outside of the Custom shop that had the 2 point bridge with Vintage type saddles. Now the MIA standards have them too.

The American Specials and HW1s look more interesting with the big headstock and all, if you'll ever want the looks of the CP60 you won't have trouble to find a rosewood board pre-CBS headstock model at any price range.

On Strats - pickups is the last thing I'd worry about, it's so easy to replace with so many options...
