I'm completely indifferent. I like both.

Generally I prefer maple for both the feel and look. However that's not set in stone, sometimes I prefer a rosewood fret board, although really only for aesthetic purpose. For feel and playability maple is my preference.

Rosewood mainly because I like the look. I also prefer it to maple because maple can get sticky when you have sweaty fingers and it also looks worn and dirty after awhile due to the lighter color.

Maple goes with every color. rosewood does not look so right with some colors.

The very first electric I ever bought had a maple fretboard - everything else has had rosewood.

It doesn't matter to me one bit except maple may look better with some colours and finishes.

I own 2 Rosewood and 1 maple neck guitars. I like the all about the same, but as far as asthetics, I like the dark wood better. Both have their own allure about them. I think my next purchace will be another Rosewood fingerboard but not sure until I play the different models of the new Blacktop Stratocasters. But I love the look of the Blue with Rosewood.

I've got a rosewood American Standard Strat, and a maple Hwy 1 Tele. I love them both and they both just seem to fit each guitar perfectly. I can't imagine either one of them being different.

Sorry, I'm not much help...... :D

I used to like rosewood and ebony on my electrics. Then I got a maple board on my strat and thought it was lame. Until it got broken in, now it just feels like home ^^

Maple necks just seem to go with Strats like ice cream and cake. :D

I have plenty of guitars with rosewood & ebony boards and I need a strat with one, but if I could only have one guitar, it'd be a strat with a maple board neck.
