Firstly it's better if we can see the hole/s. Can you post a picture?

Basically you dowel then repaint the tip of the dowel.

Put some titebond glue in there w/that dowel. Unfortunatly you might have to enlargin the offending holes to get a good fit. Use a real good wood bit so you dont chip the paint and mask it w/tape to help prevent paint chipping too. You might want to take it to a wood worker supply store n see what they recomend to keep the paint from chipping. If you have any piano builders in the area ask them too. Hopefully the offending woodpecker used a bit that will match up w/the dowels circumference you can find out there. I mentioned piano builder because they use thick coats on there grands. Good Luck w/the paint match. Gig

thanks for the help every1.
it worked good enough for me to trade the mim hss for a mia highway 1 hss.
got a great price for the trade($175, only paid $200 when i bought it 5 months ago)and the highway1($400). the highway 1 has seymore duncan humbucker and 2 sd hot rails and graphite bridge. @ least i think its a great price.
thanks again.
