They're several single-coil-sized stacked humbucking pickups which produce an extremely hot output. The most popular are the Red Lace Sensors, the Seymour Duncan Hot-Rails, the DiMarzio Chopper/Fast Track/HS-3 and the Fender Hot Noiseless, to name a few.

The Dimarzio FS2 reads about 15.4K ohm resistance. There is one, cant remember what it's called that has around 20K ohm resistance.
The FS2 doesn't sound that hot to my ears. Resistance isn't a full description of a pickups sound.

Seymour Duncan SSL3 is a hugely powerful single coil pickup. I think from memory it clocks about 14k. It's too powerful for a neck pickup (too dark) but it makes agreat bridge p/up for a power strat.

You can buy an SSL3 with coil tap wiring option so you can cut that output if you have a spare switch or push/pull volume or tone knob.

Try alnico III from a hwy 1 strat, hot enough to handle gain
but still keeps the stratty tone, IMO.
Also the seymour Duncan quarter pounder.

Or the sd live wire line.
Or emgs .
