Waiting sucks....Rosewood or maple board? I think I played an EJ strat at gc. It had a rosewood neck with binding.. She played like a dream....Post pics when you get that bad axe.....

I know how you feel. My Am. Deluxe has been on order since May.

Seeing the title of the thread I thought we were in for a long rant in all caps with horrible punctuation.

Anyway, I hope your Strat gets to you soon! I've only had to wait for a guitar once, and only for four days but it just about killed me. There are huge delays for all American Fenders now, we can't keep a decent stock of them at the store. So you aren't alone.

A rant won't do any good (its been done to death in other threads)- they can only make them so fast and I don't want them to rush at the risk of lower quality. In northern BC, with a small-town dealer, I'll have to wait longer than most. We're pretty far down the product release pipeline.
I just have to take the position that it gives me more time to practice and really appreciate the instrument when it arrives.

Ordered my jazzmaster April 12, delayed several times, best estimate now is January.

Its a looooooong wait for fenders these days.

My accountant has an EJ Strat. A few days ago I dragged my '57RI over to his place and we spent some time comparing the specs on the two of 'em. Love my '57 - but that EJ is absolutely a thing of beauty too.

What a gorgeous guitar. You'll enjoy it all the more when it finally arrives.

BTW: if we must have accountants, the Strat-playing sort are the ones to go for, right?

Alright. According to MF, my Strat was to ship to them today. They dont have any indication they are still on backorder. So MAYBE they received my guitar.

"Call Friday to confirm"

So I gotta wait for verification UNTIL FRIDAY!
