I'm want to put a S-1 switch in my Strat with Texas Special pickups. The Texas Specials only have 2 wires on each pickup. Does anyone know where to get a wiring diagram that would show how to do this with the S-1 switch and the 5-way 4 pole switch that comes in a Deluxe Strat? Thanks!

Hi stuben77,

Here's the wiring diagram that I think you are referring to. Don't worry about the extra (third wire) on the Deluxe pickups, it's really just an extra ground. And there is a "special capacitor" on the S1 switching also. Any two-wire pickups will work with the S1. I don't know how it would sound, but it will work. The 4-pole pickup selector switch is called a super switch, and like you said it is 4 separate 5 position switches that allows many different wiring configurations.

Hello!

If you need it I have a diagram which you might find a bit easier to read than the fender one. I'll post it here later.

:D

Thanks to both shimmilou & Andybighair. I think that's what I'm looking for but if you want to post the easier to read diagram that would be great!

Hi Stuben77,

Before you wire up your pups i'd recommend getting confirmation as to whether the reverse wound middle pup will have an effect on the series connections with the S-1 engaged.

If all is well the diagram bellow should help. :D

That should give you the same options as a Fender Deluxe Ash Stratocaster

Let us know if you have any other questions and keep us posted on how you get on. I for one would be interested to hear your opinion on the above set up.

Enjoy!

Andy

Hi,
i am using a fender deluxe vneck 2010.
5 way super switch used on it is different then normal 5 way super switch which is used in model 2004.
İ wonder if anyone has any idea if 5 way super switch can be configured in order to be used in my vneck 2010 with the same magnetics seleection?
İ designed one with 5 way super switch but i was not possible to getb tone control in position 2.
pls get in touch with me if you have a solution.
