Hello everyone , I've recently purchased my very first strat and love it! I've got a couple of questions that hopefully you all can help me with.

First I've read online that since 1998 most strat models are pre routed for HSH configuration even though most strats are SSS setup. I've yet to take the pickguard off of mine and see for myself (currently I'm away from home and my guitar : / ) also I want to make sure I have a good idea what not to mess with when I open it up before I do.

With that being said would a standard Jazzmaster pickup fit in the bridge position of my strat or would I need to route some of it out beforehand. From what I've seen and read Jazzy pickups are quite large. Also the pickups mount (screw) into the pickguard not the body yes?

Sorry if this has been asked a bunch , Ive skimmed through these forums and tried to find a thread with a similar question, I've also gone through the manual to find a diagram of the innner workings but no dice!

Please forgive me if everything I've said made no sense at all it's 5 am and I'm still awake ha. If you need me to be more specific as to what I'm talking about I can.

Thanks so much for your help!

I'm rocking an 09-10 American Standard strat I can give you the model number if needed
