I forgot how to post pictures! Any way rosewood fretboards are for inlays like skulls, wild crap and posers! Leo had the right idea and he should have stuck with it. Let's start a thread! Who thinks what stratocaster (tele for that matter) would look good with a rosewood fret board? Sorry I'm a bit high and love wiped out maple fret boards. [/url]

I like maple on sunburst and rosewood on solid colors.

p.s. You are so right that the maple vs rosewood debate comes down to feel not sound. There are so many variables especially when you plug in and listen through an amp. If anyone can hear the difference between a maple and rosewood Strat while blindfolded...well they must be peeking through the blindfold.

I agree that the maple neck is classic, and usually my preference for Strats. As far as looks though, on a three-tone sunburst, rosewood looks the best to me.

I like both, but it depends on the guitar as a unit.

DE JA VU anyone?

Im loving both types of wood :) they are both great and in all honesty If its dark colour then rosewood goes on the body for me... and maple for lighter colours :)

My Strats Brazillian RW (AWESOME!) and my Ibanez is a nice old bit of maple :)

Ive answered this Post in so many ways before

No, wait, he's no Shredder, well maybe this guy.....

No wait, Edward plays only maple Boards....

Sam, I think there is something wrong with your analogy.

I honestly like both. I think for pure looks, a traditional maple neck is awesome! BUT, I do like the feel of rosewood also! Variety baby!

2 of my Strats have maple fretboards and 2 have rosewood and my Stratacoustic of course is rosewood.I have no preference whatsoever, it's the sound of the guitar not the fretboard wood that is my biggest concern.
