The serial number tells me its a 2005 mexican stratocaster but the owner swears that it is the original paint. Is there any way that thats true?

I originally thought sage green, but the color seems less "blue" than any standard color I've seen.

Well if it's a 2005 model the less blue part could be explained by the paint aging, the paint is probably poly since it's Mexican but poly ages as well. Not as fast or as well as nitro but it does my MIM is a 2007 and I can see signs of aging in it (not scratches but in the color of the finish)

"Sonic Vomit"? "Daphne Puke"?

It's definitely not Sage Green which is a pale metallic shade.

Looks like a "cross" between Loch Ness Green and Desert Sun Yellow in my eyes. :?

I wonder with which colour combinations you finally ended up with that murky yellowish shade of green.

1970's Kitchen Appliance Avocado.

Wonder if they made a matching Harvest Gold with a maple fingerboard? :)

Either way, it's a color I'd keep.

Fender does all kinds of special colors when dealers ask for them ... and buy a big enough lot of them .... Factory Special Runs.

A Warmoth body would be so stamped in the neck pocket.
