First generation American Deluxe with an ash body - looks like it's in pretty good shape from those photos.

$1K seems to be a bit on the high side for a 2000; I've seen these as low as $800.

I didn't check the completed auctions; the last one that went through the local Music-Go-Round was a plain black/maple neck and hung on the wall forever at $1,000 and I think finally sold for $875. However, I haven't seen a trans white Am Dlx for a long, long time and that should carry a premium over the other finishes.

These should be very well made USA Fenders (I had a 1998 SSS model and it was very nice but I ultimately moved to an AV '62 instead). Whether or not you like the Vintage Noiseless pickups is a matter of preference.

Word of warning if it has the black tolex case - the circa 1998-2000 tweed and tolex cases were not sourced from G&G and they were complete crap. The case I had with the 1998 Am Dlx (black tolex) and with the 1999 AV '62 (tweed case back then) were made in Mexico, and both were horribly warped and would not stay open. I got "guillotined" a couple of times while putting away the guitar. I don't know if they were still using these cases in 2000 or if they had made the change to the molded cases by then.
