can you please tell me how i can check with you guys about my 1973ish strats serial number and any authentic pictures to compare mine to,i know they did some strange things in the 70's.a few things on mine have me confused.hard to trust what is real info on the web.thanks

my problem is no so much the serial number which is 566712,it's the neck stamps,they seem correct but they are double stamped,leaving some question.inspector stamp says torres.also it has what looks like a mustang type route for switches that seem to be a factory fix over(repair).pickups seem to be correct but don't have anything written on them.pots and tuners and bridge have been replaced.routing paint seemed to be right with an old school ground wire from the pickups to the control cavity the looked like it had been there since factory.just little things about it seems strange,bit i just chalked it up to 70's oddities.
