I have a 2000-something Japanese re-issue.
It has a small headstock and 4-bolt neckplate, though I have seen pics of some with large headstocks with bullet and 3-bolt neckplate.

Were these of a different year?

Also, do they stay blue or fade to green over time? I have seen some that looked green in pics.

Thanks.

The original "blue flower" and "pink paisley" finish options were introduced in early 1968 -- thus, any Strat so painted at Fullerton would have the larger "CBS-era" headstock. These finishes utilized a catalyzed acrylic undercoat with a lacquer top coat which caused some color shift as the guitars aged. The re-issues are likely 100% poly and will retain their original colors for decades.
