I'll post pics when I get home.

I traded some stuff I paid $300 for. So the stuff isn't high end stuff, but I think it was a good deal.

I got a Fender M-80 Chorus amp from like 1990. This amp was actually mine. I bought it new in 1990 and traded it like 9 months ago. Now I got it back. This is the main reason I made this deal, I wanted this amp back.

I got a 1999 Fender Deluxe Fat Strat. Black on Black, SD humbucker in it. It's in pretty good shape, some light pick marks on the body, that should be able to be buffed out.

And I got a Fake Strat I think. Has a 62' type rosewood neck, but has 22 frets and the logo looks like someone put it on. It's not a bad job though. Looks like they reliced the guitar themselves, but not a bad job. The back of the neck has the varish worn off, but it's super smooth. The body is off white and has wear marks, those are also real smooth. The good thing about this guitar is it ha the Clapton boost and Noiseless pickups. The guy I traded got this from someone else so he didn't really know the history of it.

And I got my next project. It's a Squier 51 that the orginal owner repainted. Looks like he painted it like Daphne Blue and then Put a yellowish clear coat on it, so it's kind of green. On the back it says I'm Single written in marker. It's all taken apart though, and missing one of the tuners, and some of the springs for the saddles. It has a LP style humbucker with it instead of the Fender type.

Like I said, I'll post some pics when I get home and you can tell me what you think.

What did you trade? That sounds pretty good to me for $300.

I traded a Epihone Electar 10 watt tube amp, which worked good, just was a little beat up looking and it was missing the big emblem that goes on the speaker grill. And a Fender Deluxe 112 Plus amp. This was a pretty good amp too. I think it sells used for a little more than the Fender M-80. We could of made the trade and I keep this amp and he would of kept the M-80 and we would of just traded everything else, but I really wanted the M-80 back, even if it's not worth as much.
And I traded a Partscaster Strat with Lace Sensor pickups. It was all real Fender parts, and was in real good shape. I paid about $260 for it.

EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot, also a SD Hotrail.

Ok here's the stuff I got.

This is my old amp I got back. Yeah it's the gray furry fabric type M-80.

Jason

You got a deal there mate.

The amount of time I spent on that clapton mod and never thought to put the battery tied onto the scratchplate with the wires to the selector.
Ah well live and learn. I wonder why the body is routed for the circuit, but no rear battery compartment?

I like that fake strat too. That headstock looks a bit like it was painted prior to having the decal put on. A bit like Vinnypop's LonelyBoy Vietnam strat.
Wonder what it says underneath.

Has the 51 taken a load of fretboard wear, or is it the light in the picture?
A great modding guitar there. Cvilleira has a load of modding tips for them.

Well done mate, looks like you're getting planned for the winter months.

I think the original owner, the single one ;) was trying to relic it, so the yellow tint is off on like the first 9 frets. I tried to take off the paint, looks like I'll have to sand it and I'm out of sand paper. The guy painted the blue on top of the poly and then put the clear coat on top of that. So I was hoping to use the heat gun to get off the poly, but it seems to be a pretty thin layer. It's a sunburst under the blue.

I would like to do something like this

But more of a vintage white cream type color. I need to find a place that sells those kinds of pickguard, it's a little different than what is on it. I think the one in the pick is a rear loaded bridge too, which would be cool. I think it would look good with a chrome dome Lace Sensor in the neck, but I don't really know how much money I'm willing to invest in it yet.

The decal on the neck of that white strat is extremely well done if it is a fake. I wouldnt rule it out as being a legitimate Fender neck of some sort.

I agree with rhcpfitz. are there any markings on the butt of the neck like penciled in dates or anything? it looks pretty legit.
