hey my FSR 60th anniversary strat has had some G string buzz from the 7th fret up when l use moderate attack(l play with my fingers and thumb too) and lts VERY noticeable threw my Twin Reverb so l was wondering lf l could raise the saddle for the G string alone, would that be ok and safe

lm a moron when lt comes to these things , to raise lt how many quarter turns should l take, and lts clockwise to raise lt correct, lf l mess lt up l will just take lt to get set up anyways but l was hoping l could fix this little problem myself

thanks for the time guys, also do you need a little allen key thing to turn them or could l just use a small screwdriver, thanks

Check out Fender's setup guide: http://www.fender.com/support/stratocas ... _guide.php
Scroll down to the section titled 'Action'. Action is another name for string height.

Yes you can adjust the height of the individual saddles. That's what Leo Fender intended in the design if the Strat bridge.

Yes use an allen wrench. You can clearly see that the top of each height adjustment screw (2 per saddle) won't accept anything but an allen. Allen keys for saddles and truss rod should have came with your guitar from the factory unless you bought it used and the previous owner threw them away.

Turn clockwise to raise the saddle. How many turns wil depend on what string guage you use, where your saddle is set now, and how far you want it go. Get a good quality metal ruler with very small increments and measure where you're at now and compare it to what Fender suggests in the link I posted above.

Hi jebus91,

Sure, you can adjust one, two or as many as necessary. Loosen the string with the tuning key for the saddle that you want to adjust to make the screws easier to turn (so you don't strip the Allen screws). Adjust the saddle, then re-tune the string. It takes an Allen key to adjust the two small set-screws for each saddle. Just turn the Allen keys clockwise to raise. Try raising the saddle a little at a time (1/4 turn on each side), checking the buzz after each adjustment, until you get the desired results. :)

Yes any hardware store should carry the correct size allen key. I am sorry but I don't the exact size, maybe someone that knows can chime in.

Your local guitar store might have some extra ones around that they could give you. For example, I know at some Guitar Centers the employees just throw the allen keys and other case candy in a box behind the coutner or even throw them away! So it won't hurt to ask if your local shop an extra allen key laying around.

As for doing your own setups, this book helped me a lot with confidence to to it on my own: http://www.amazon.com/Electric-Guitar-G ... 0879306017 Good luck!

Some Strat saddle screws need a 1.5mm allen wrench. Others need a .05" allen wrench.

I'm not sure which bridge is on an FSR 60th.
