(JV21897) he said it was worth money and said i got a good deal on it, i know nothing really about guitars so any information on this guitar would be great to know if i got ripped off.. the body is in great shape acouple nicks but other then that pretty good..

Generally speaking the early Squiers are the more collectible. Made in Japan as opposed to Korea or China, the workmanship is normally better, comparable to an early MIM Fender. Can I ask what you paid?

They are pretty highly regarded. His startement that you got a great deal might be overstating it a bit, but I'd say you did pretty well on price.

Not a bad price. JVs can fetch anywhere from 400/500 range all the way up to 1,000+. SO I would say you did pretty good. Looks like the Pickguard has been changed though.
