I am looking to buy a Strat with the through the body locking trem system, not the Floyd Rose. It has 22 frets, no roller nut. It's an 80's. I don't know the serial number yet. Could this be a USA or Japanese? or either?

Most likely it's japanese. I don't think Fender USA made anything with a locking trem in the 80's. But I might be wrong. Pictures would definitely help.
